In a smart and state-of-the-art way, the MAN Driver App accompanies truck drivers through their daily work. The MAN Driver app assists truck drivers with functions such as the digital pre-departure check, the MAN dealership search and quick guides for switches and check lamps in the truck via a scanning function. It also offers important features in the event of a breakdown.

Intelligent networking between the driver's smartphone and the RIO platform 1 allows relevant information to be transmitted to the fleet manager. The fleet manager can view this data accordingly and transmit it digitally to the MAN service outlet selected in MAN ServiceCare.

Guided pre-departure check and damage report – The driver can use a pre-defined checklist in the app to document, sign and save damage and defect reports on the vehicle prior to departure. The checklist of the MAN Driver app was developed in cooperation with BG Verkehr and contains important vehicle components. The documented damage of the pre-departure check can be accessed by the fleet manager on the RIO platform*, downloaded in PDF format and automatically forwarded to the appropriate MAN service outlet via MAN ServiceCare.**
In addition to the pre-departure check, drivers can use the app to document damage at any time and forward it to the fleet manager.

Driving times and rest periods – The MAN Driver App gives drivers a simple overview of their driving times, rest periods and break times per day, week or month, always in real time and at a glance.

Individual driving style analysis –The driver receives a transparent view of relevant performance values, giving him an ideal basis for further development of his driving style.

Manual – With the launch of the new MAN Truck generation, drivers can call up the complete manual for the vehicle via the MAN Driver App.

Remote control function – The driver can operate the multimedia truck system conveniently from his smartphone or tablet.

Quick Guide – The driver can scan selected switches and check lamps in the vehicle (for TGX vehicles manufactured after 2018 and with Euro 6 engines and above) and receive instant information on their function as well as recommended actions, both via text display or voice function.

MAN dealership search – The app shows the driver the nearest MAN service outlet at any given time. This saves a lot of time and the next workshop visit can be optimally adapted to the route planning.

Trucker’s World News – The app gives you access to exciting news from the club and from the truck scene.

MAN Mobile24 roadside assistance – The driver can check the current location via the app at any given time. In the event of a breakdown, he or she can use the app to initiate the MAN Mobile24 roadside assistance and learn via status updates as to when roadside assistance will arrive on site.

** Without MAN login: 30 days of local data storage. With RIO Login: 1 year of local data storage. For the damage reporting data to be transmitted to the fleet manager, the fleet manager must register via the Marketplace. In addition, the fleet manager must invite the driver via the user administration. After the driver has accepted the invitation, the fleet manager can see an overview of the results of the pre-departure check via the RIO platform (pre-departure check application) and download it as a PDF document. To make the detailed view of the damage report available to the fleet manager and to release the information to the preferred MAN service outlet, the “MAN ServiceCare” service (only available in selected countries) must be booked in addition via the Marketplace. This requires the vehicle to be equipped with a RIO box (on-board telematics module 3).

Digital services for the logistics and commercial vehicle sector

On the RIO platform, a range of digital services is bundled for the entire transportation and logistics ecosystem. The platform offers digital services for the commercial vehicle sector from manufacturers and partners as well as in-house technology solutions. It can therefore be used to book MAN DigitalServices designed exclusively for your MAN. As a prerequisite, all vehicles must be equipped with the RIO Box*. This gives you centralised access to a wide range of data relating to your fleet.

Once you have registered online, you can book, change or add digital services anytime, anywhere. The RIO Box and the basic MAN Essentials service will be automatically activated free of charge when you register your vehicle.
