The MAN Driver App1 is a modern tool that intelligently assists truck drivers in their day-to-day work. With the digital pre-departure check and damage report, the Quick Manual with visual symbol recognition, the MAN Mobile24 breakdown service and MAN Trucker’s World, the MAN Driver app simplifies the day-to-day work of truck drivers and also provides valuable support in the event of a breakdown.
Intelligent networking between the driver’s smartphone and the RIO platform2 allows application-relevant information to be transmitted to the fleet manager. Fleet managers can view these accordingly and transmit them digitally to their preferred MAN workshop in future. But that's just the beginning. The MAN Driver app is continuously enhanced with clever and in the form of automatic app updates.

** Without MAN login: 30 days of local data storage. For the data from the digital pre-departure control and damage reporting system to be transmitted to the fleet manager, the fleet manager must register via the MAN Marketplace. In addition, the fleet manager must invite the driver via the user administration. After the driver has accepted the invitation, the fleet manager can view an overview of the results of the pre-departure check via the RIO platform (pre-departure check application). To make the detailed view of the damage report available to the fleet manager and to release the information to the preferred MAN workshop, the “MAN ServiceCare” service (only available in selected countries) must also be booked via the MAN Marketplace. This requires the vehicle to be equipped with a RIO box (on-board telematics module 3). For an extended data history with a storage period of 25 months instead of 10 days, the fleet manager can also book the “MAN Advance” service, which is subject to a fee.
The free app for MAN truck drivers is available on Google PlayTM 1.
If you have a smartphone with a QR code scanning function (these apps are freely available on the market), you can scan the QR code of the MAN Driver app and this will take you directly to the Google Play1 page of the MAN Driver app, where you can download and install the app.
Downloading the app is free for the drivers. Fleet managers only incur costs when they book “MAN Advance”, which allows them to store the results of the digital pre-departure check and damage reporting for 25 months instead of just ten days. The standard fees of your mobile phone provider apply when calling Mobile24 and using mobile internet.
For a detailed view of damage: Register on the RIO platform via the MAN Marketplace at start.rio.cloud > Create fleet > Add your vehicle(s) via “Vehicle administration” > The application “Pre-departure check” is automatically available with the free service “MAN Essentials” > Invite drivers via “User Administration” > Book service “MAN ServiceCare” (if available in your country; the vehicle must be equipped with a RIO box = TBM 3) > Book service “MAN Advance” for a storage period of 25 months instead of ten days.
If you only want to see an overview of the pre-departure check results, you do not need to book “MAN ServiceCare”. In this case, however, the result cannot be forwarded to the workshop.
You can view the damage on the RIO platform. An overview of the pre-departure checks of all invited and logged-in drivers is shown in the “Pre-departure check” application. You can view the detailed results of the damage in the “MAN ServiceCare” application.
As described above, the corresponding MAN DigitalServices product package must be booked. In addition, the fleet manager must commission the preferred MAN workshop in the “MAN ServiceCare” application (if MAN ServiceCare is available in your country). This allows the MAN workshop to optimise its proactive maintenance and repair management.
If you have a breakdown, open the MAN Mobile24 function. If you have previously registered a vehicle in the app, the VIN appears automatically in the form. After opening, your location is automatically detected. For this to work, your smartphone’s location services must be enabled. Pressing the button “Call Mobile24” launches the phone function with the Mobile24 phone number and you can initiate the call.
In some countries there are legal regulations governing roadside assistance on motorways and sometimes also on rural roads. This means that only licensed roadside assistance services are allowed to provide support or tow vehicles on these routes. However, MAN Mobile24 will still actively support you in this case. We will contact the respective roadside assistance service and make sure that your vehicle is taken to the nearest MAN dealership.
The Quick Manual identifies various symbols and symbol combinations and switches in your MAN vehicle and explains their function. As a convenient additional function, the text in the app can be read out loud to you.
In the first version of the app, the Quick Manual is only available for TGX series vehicles (manufactured after 2018 and with Euro 6 engines and above). Other types, such as the TGS, will be added to the app in form of expansions later on.
